Finding Just About Everything on the Internet

I never took a writing class.  Never bought a "how to write" book.  Never joined a critique group.  Was not a member of Romance Writers of America, let alone any local chapter.  Didn't know any editors, agents, or publishers.  But somehow I wrote a story to the specs of the line I was targeting, then I formatted my manuscript, learned about query letters and wrote a good one, hammered out a coherent synopsis...

And got published.

I learned everything--absolutely everything--I needed to know on the Internet.  And all it cost me was time.

There are other ways to go about learning how to write a novel and get it published (see the first paragraph) but I didn't know about any of them.  What I did know about was the Internet, so that's where I started.  I learned a lot and am still squeezing valuable information out of the many good websites I've discovered.

If you can't steal time away from your family to attend classes, or if you don't have money to buy books, or if you don't live near the meeting place of a writers' group, maybe this would be a good approach for you.  Just start at my Links Page.  Carefully follow the directions for "working" the links and I guarantee you'll amass far more information than you'll be able to digest anytime soon!

You'll learn to follow one link to another, "bookmarking" the good stuff.  (And by the way, be sure to let me know if you find any extra-helpful links.)

Yup.  It really is that simple.  I'm a little embarrassed that I was able to tell you the Great Secret to my Success in these few short paragraphs, but that's it.
